Diwali 2021- How to Celebrate Festival of Light Amid COVID-19

Diwali 2021- How to Celebrate Festival of Light Amid COVID-19

Diwali is the grandest festival in India. It celebrates the win of light over darkness and the return of Shri Ram after 14 years of vanvasa. It is celebrated on a large scale each year. However, this year, the scale will be small due to the coronavirus, but the grace and auspiciousness of the festival will be the same as everyone celebrates Diwali from their homes.

Auspicious Parts of a House to Place Lamps

If people place Diyas or earthen lamps at these parts of their house, God will help them solve their money-related problems.

  • People should light a lamp on both sides of their home entrance. It is considered an auspicious way to welcome Goddess Laxmi.
  • Lighting a lamp under a peepal tree will be beneficial in problems related to wealth and health. But one must not look back after lighting the lamp.
  • Astrologically it is favorable to light a lamp at a graveyard. Still, if it is not possible, one can light a lamp at any temple situated at a lonely place but follow all the pandemic rules to stay safe when visiting these places as people are not Gods.
  • If people light a lamp near the crossing at their homes, it will aid their problems related to gaining wealth.
  • Lighting a lamp at the place of worship at home, known as Akhand Jyoti, is also auspicious. However, one must ensure that this lamp remains lit as this impresses Goddess Laxmi.
  • It is favourable to light a lamp under the bail tree on the evening of Diwali. It is believed that Shiva likes the leaf of the bail tree or Bilva Patra in Hindi, so lighting a Diya under the bail tree can help one get the blessings of Lord Shankara.
  • Devotees must light a lamp at a temple near their home. It can help them get the blessing of all the Gods.
  • Lighting a lamp in the compound brings grace and God’s blessings to the home. One must ensure that this Diya remains lit the entire night.

Remedies for Diwali 2021

Along with lighting the lamps, devotees should pray to the Gods and follow these remedies to get blessed by them. Here are three potent remedies for Diwali.

Black Sesame Seeds: - People should pray to Lord Shiva on Diwali. If it is not possible, they should take a jar of water and pour some black sesame seeds into it. Pour this mixture gently on a Shivalinga while chanting, “Om Namah Shivaya.” Devotees can also recite the Mahamrityunjay mantra to make this remedy even more powerful.

Reciting Hanuman Chalisa: - Devotees should wake up early in the morning on Diwali. They should take 11 peepal leaves and write “Shri Ram” on them with sandalwood paste. Worshippers can get maximum benefits if they perform this remedy under a peepal tree. According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Hanuman can be pleased easily, and chanting the Hanuman Chalisa has many benefits.

Midnight Remedy: - People should perform this remedy after taking a bath at night. They should worship goddesses, Durga and Laxmi with Raktachandan, Raktvastra, Raktabhushan, Raktpushp, fruit, Naivedya, and fragrance as it will save them from all the troubles in their life.
